While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. Please escort your child to the door, and at the completion of the appointment we will communicate with you about today’s appointment and to schedule the next appointment. Please limit family members to just the patient entering the office. If either you or the patient are not comfortable with that we ask that just one parent accompany them.
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. Please submit the 12 question screening form online. If you are unable to complete the form online, you’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive in the office. We may take your temperature in the office.
- Hand Sanitizer
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter and leave the office. You will find some in the reception area and at the exit door for you to use as needed.
- High-Contact Items
You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, the game room, children’s toys, the coffee station and so forth since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- Prior to your Appointment
Please brush, floss and rinse with mouth wash prior to coming to the office as our brushing stations will not be available.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the treatment and reception area at any one time.
Please check our website frequently for updates. If you have any questions regarding scheduling, please call our offices during normal business hours. We are all in this together, and are doing our part to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Let us all hope for a quick resolution to this unprecedented pandemic.
